Recently I picked up the PRODUCTIVITY PLANNER by Intelligent Change, and my first thought was: can this planner *really* make me more productive? After weeks of using it, I had lots of thoughts (some good, some meh), so come along with me as I try to figure out if this planner is right for me! Let me know what other planners I should review in the comment section below :)

I think keeping track of how long something takes you is genius so that eventually you can plan your day more practically because you have a more realistic view of how long something should take you. I tend to overplan and then feel defeated when I don’t get it all done

Loved this in-depth review, you always put so much thought into your content but this is so informative for anyone who has had their eye on the Productivity Journal, etc. (myself included). I've already purchased not one but two different planners for 2023, but I'd still love to see what other journals/systems you try out!

If you liked this, I'm pretty sure you'll love the Passion Planner (Daily and Weekly). 🙂 I'd suggest you check them out. They've even got free PDF's you can download and print without needing to purchase an actual journal.

I'd love to see what you do with Notion if/when you try it. Seeing you make your own productivity system with it would be interesting.

Love the video! I always love looking at different planers while I'm shopping, so it's really cool to see you using them and see how they can be used in a realistic way. I love the vlogs and other kinds of videos, but I'm looking forward to watch more content focused on different planners and systems!

I'm going to give the Productivity Sheets a go - sounds like a perfect tool to keep you focused, but also remind you that you've accomplished a lot despite the 457 tasks that are still not done (my to-do list has a life of it's own and it's monstrous). I'm a big fan of Hobonichi planners - check out the Cousin. It's also fun to use with Tombow markers, washi, and fountain pens. It's a bit big for me (due to my disability, I have trouble reaching across an A5), so I've been using the Weeks, but am missing the space I need for work. Am still trying to find MY system. Checking out a Franklin Planner Organizer Page a Day in A6 that I had to order from Amazon Japan. ;) I think it has potential.

I feel like you'd LOVE the Hemlock and Oak Priority flow pad. Or just all their stuff in general 😍😍

Loved this!! I’m so excited to see your planning habits after the BuJo. Maybe a good one to try next would be the Papier undated planner? It looks lush!

When I really feel myself slipping, I will do time blocking in 15 minute intervals. I chose 15 min because in Denmark they study 45 min and take a 15 minute break. Being ADHD and Autistic, it forces me not to hyper focus too long, but focus long enough. If I am losing concentration. I can take the 15 min break 30 minutes in. Or take a longer break for a walk/lunch/etc. I do this for a few weeks, until I feel like I am back on track. I use a little Leuchtturm1917 (smaller than A6, maybe A7?) dotted journal for this. I learned this time tracking from Matt Ragland about 5 years ago.

I can see myself using this memo pad one, but not the book. However, since I am a very broke MSc student writing her thesis, I will just implement the idea on my daily calendar pages. I have to write in a physical calendar, else, I will just ignore the digital version of tasks list and calendars.

Also, you should try the Forest app for time tracking. You can actually earn rewards and spend 2000 of them to plant a real tree somewhere. I have BeFocused Pro, Study Bunny, but I always go back to Forest.

This was so helpful Caitlin! Thanks for doing this review! Would love to hear if you end up trying the quarterly and desk versions too :)

I decided I couldn't find a pre-made system I actually liked after deciding to quit bullet journaling so now I just have a poster board I drew a calendar on with a bunch of sticky notes for tasks. Works like a charm for about $5 😅

What a fun video, I like your thoughts and that you tested the planner for a few weeks!😊 I would LOVE for you to test Muchelle B's The life map planner, either the daily or the weekly. I find her videos really helpful, but I've been hesitating buying the planner because I'm so use to my bullet journal 😅 Would find your thoughts on it very helpful!😊

Thanks for sharing the review. I also like to change it up with notepad sheets from time to time when I'm in a rut but I always come back to my planner <3 I know black planners get dirtier but I just think of it being well used :D Have a good and productive week :*

Thanks for this :-) I love the idea of the video, how you put it together and what you addressed. I might be ordering the sheets in a minute or two 🤣

Hi Caitlin. Would you consider doing a video on owning a small business in Canada and if you file your own T1 Return or do you use an accountant?

Thanks for the review! The sheets hold the most intrigue for me. I’d like to see your review Hemlock & Oak planners. It’s a Canadian company. I’m very curious about the paper (for fountain pens & highlighters) and the system itself looks mighty useful.
