You are a true friend of Sri Lanka, says Sri Lankan Ambassador expressing gratitude to India

Sri Lankan Ambassador to India Milinda Moragoda on March 17 attended an event in Delhi in the presence of Union Minister Dr S Jaishankar. During his speech, he expressed gratitude towards India calling it a true friend of Sri Lanka which helped them during challenging times. He said, “You are a true friend of Sri Lanka. We will never forget it.”

No such reporting in local SL media. However they will report if India had refused the help. Indian media reporting and Indians reading and feeling great, is great. But I think India is celebrating too much for something it's too little coming too late. Late because the Chinese already have their military base there and it's not going anywhere any time soon. Once SL is back on its feet, they'll go back to being what they were. Sorry about the negative twist, but it has to be explored.
