I recently had a near loss of life of my mother. She was in ICU for fourteen days. Quadruple bypass heart surgery. Why the intimate details. No one came. Not to me not to my mom. I person was there for both of us. His name is Pat. Bless him. He got both me and my mom through the hardest moments in our lives. Sad thing is three days after my mom got out of the hospital his mother passed. 😥 But I remember to call and see if he needs anything everyday because he was the person that didn't ask for anything always made time and was never in a hurry. Sorry bout the long story felt the need to share. Thank you.

I see all of these things in me, but the second point got to me, Ive been going through a portion of my life where it seems everyone around me is doing so well, and I find myself wishing that something would go well for me.

Had the same group of friends for over 6 years. Not only that but in a group your friends will make you feel included and loved even if ur a shy person. You know your presence there matters for them and that's the best feeling one can have in their life

a best friend for a man is someone who has an image of you in their head of a extremely powerful version of who you are now and they encourage you to be like that image. A best friend will fuckin tend on you when you're injured and handle your shit for you when you're incapable.

I met my best friend Jade in 2000 in the disciplinary class whenever we were in high school and this describes him perfectly, he was always there to listen to me cry, he was there to celebrate every good thing I have accomplished in my life and he always told me the honest truth even when I didn't want to hear it because he knew I needed to hear it. Last week he was murdered and every time I think about it I feel like my heart's been ripped out of my chest I've spent more of my life with him in it than without and I literally don't know what to do without him now.

I was one of those who had a lot of people around me. Then a guy friend abandoned me when I came to his home because I had experienced a heatstroke, yelled at me, accused me of gaslighting him. He is literally the reason why I nearly died minutes after he left me in scorching, desert heat. If it wasn't for ambulance I would not be alive.
Then my young and only brother died to a stroke almost a year ago and no one came forward. I thought no one from the 'friend' group knew but they knew and no one bothered to call or make any effort to help with healing. Only two people were there. One of them passed away due to a heart attack six months in. The other did a lot of work. I will never forget how she stayed on the call that day when me and mom went to cover mirrors in the house. She basically called me every day and is still around. I feel lucky to have her. Those who told me they will always be there ended up not being there when I needed it the most. I am very disappointed in them and I feel sorry for the people who think they are their friends. But I won't say anything. No one believes unless they experience it. I know I didn't believe they are take - take.

I was always this person to others, but when in need no one was there for me. I have lost faith in ppl and am at distance with everyone. I have no friends. Now ppl come to me looking for help or support I just ask them: I thought we were friends where were you when I was in desparate need?" Now I no longer help nor am I there for anyone. Now I just say crapy frazes that ppl usually say and I ghost them, just like all of them had done to me. I do have to say I am ashamed of it, but it brings me pleasure to see them tasting their own medicine.

I had a friend I knew for over twenty years. He was like this for most of the entire friendship. Then one day I disagreed with him on something stupid, he sic'd his friends on me and they called me a sociopath and a racist despite no proof of any of it. I just said, "let's wait for more information to come out before we say anything or make any judgements." One of the last things he said to me over facebook messenger (the entire ordeal took place over facebook), was, "our beliefs are too diametrically opposed and I don't see us having a future." It really hurt and it still does. I just wish I could have seen that coming. I was there for him and he was there for me, but I guess it had to be, "if you're not with me, you're against me, " when it comes to viewpoints anymore.
