This video serves as an introduction/review of the DSM-5 as well as explaining how diagnosis works and how the DSM-5 differs from the DSM IV TR. Special attention is paid to diagnoses frequently seen in state psychiatric hospitals.

When I started my graduate program journey, the DSM 4 was front and center. However, the DSM 5 was coming and I thought the changes would be minor. Well, now that I've changed careers and entered into my degree the DSM 5 is soooo foreign. This video just helped me 100%.

This was a helpful topic. Knowing the definition and review of DSM. Understanding the Mood and affect. There are so many disorders to know and learn. People who work with people that are mentally challenge, I considered are special and passionate people. I know a percentage of these people develop this disorder by lifestyle; and they involve an innocent child by being on substance while pregnant. A person can also become delusional or Bipolar, by taking an unknown substance.
