How disingenuous....technology like this will first and foremost be used by the state for surveillance on citizens...it is incorrect to believe that technology is "neutral" and that it just matters who uses it and how it is used...technology has inherent values, for example, a landmine is used to maim and cannot be used for anything else.

Since the industrial revolution, technology has steadily been utilized by the state and authority to more completely dominate every facet of existence, whether it is the domination of nature that was commenced when the first seed was sown 10, 000 years ago and finds its natural progression in genetic manipulation and engineering, to the domination of people by the state that was began with the first writing and math (the first large application of writing and math was for land ownership and tax revenue by the state), we have been increasingly controlled and dominated thanks entirely to the capabilities created by technology to this end. You're every movement and location is recorded by your phone and telecoms have no problem providing this information to the state, you're data is mined and sold off again and again, and there's nowhere outside of this system....we've all become so many appendages of the machine.

So why not a mouse? I think cockroaches are horrible and not needed so I feel less sad it’s happening to them than a cute mouse. This is proof of how far science is coming on and how a paralyzed person may walk again using these methods.
