- 5 cups water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper

- 1 cup chickpeas (canned)
- 1 cup shell pasta
- 1/4 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 18g fresh basil leaves

I'm a soupy head! What a trooper to push on and finish the video. Hope your finger is okay. I once cut myself so badly, that I had to visit the ER. The doc looked at the cut in delight with a big smile on his face. I asked him slightly irritated what's so "great" here. He then explained it was the cleanest kitchen knife cut he has ever seen and that it would close up without any scaring. He even asked for the brand of the knife and started laughing when I answered it was just the most basic 1500 yen kitchen knife.

Looks good but I would have simmered the tomato sauce down a bit more till it was dryer to really caramelize the sugars in the tomato sauce. That's how you get the more complex flavors in the soup so it's not just "tomato soup".Then deglazed caramelized bits of tomato sauce on the bottom of the dutch oven with red wine. then I would have added water and some bullion or even homemade chicken stock
