This lesson covers the surface area of a pyramid. Students learn that the surface area of a 3-dimensional figure is the sum of the areas of all the faces of the figure. Students are then asked to find the surface area of prisms and pyramids.

I like how clear and easy it is to understand. I like how she used base and height instead of length times width. I like how she explains it good and she knows what she is talking about

Please do note that a pyramid is a solid shape (shapes that have more than one surface) in which all the sides in the base area all connect or converge to a top of a point.
The type of pyramid the tutor is solving is a square base pyramid, a square is a plane shape (a shape that only has one surface) in which all the sides are all equal, and the formula for the area of the base (square) is side square
but we also have a rectangular base pyramid, meaning that if the base of a pyramid is rectangle the entire formula for the base area will change will change to length multiplied breadth
and we also have a circular base pyramid (a cone)
thank you for the lessons teacher ^_^
