These are the most amazing caught-on-camera rescues of 2023. In October, a bus driver helped when a 7-year-old popped a quarter into his mouth and began choking. In February, rescuers pulled a newborn baby boy out from underneath earthquake rubble in Turkey. In December, there was a mad scramble to save a runaway Chihuahua on a New York highway. Oh my god the girl with one arm holding on to her mom. When the mom said let me go my heart broke, as a mom I understand that plea not wanting to take her daughter with her. Thank God that man was there to help 🙏🏽 💙

The one that touched me the most, all of them did, is Austin saving Jason. He was more than a Hero, but he probably is marked for life.

I too pulled over to try to get a Chihuahua running along the side of the road. Two other drivers pulled over to help me. We trapped the little dog under my car. One lady reached under and grabbed him by his scruff. The terrified dog bit her over and over. She didn't let go!😳 She pulled him out and asked whose he was, I told her he was just running by the highway, and not mine. She said she will keep him & advertise for his owners. She said first she had to make a pit stop at the ER. Weeks later I saw them in the local market, happy Chihuahua (on a leash), happy owner, healing from her bite wounds. She said her sweet new Dog was worth every bite he took out of her. She never got any calls from the advertisement she put out for the 🐕.

I just want to recognize real quick- Its always so uplifting when we see stories of moms getting hulk strength to save their babies- lifting cars(that take like 2 and a half dozen strong teenagers) off their babies and ripping manholes out of the earth like they were frisbees- so I want to also give credit to the reverse. That woman held her whole mom's weight to the side of a cliff for who knows how long with exactly one arm. Not a quick burst of adrenaline to get her through, but a steady refusal to let go. And by the foot too, while not having the anchor of another hand in the dirt. Mom was ready to let go too- probably fearing those same disadvantages would cause her baby to die with her, but her daughter calmly talked her through it like there was never a doubt in her mind that she'd lose her mom that day. That's a great mom to a great child.

Listening to that poor boy scream for help in the last clip brought tears to my eyes. Poor boy but he acted bravely in the face of danger and saved that mans life.
