Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Taking the viewers on their journey through mass rescues, drownings, resuscitations, shark sightings, and all number of the weird and wonderful experiences Bondi Beach dishes up.

In #BondiRescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and #lifeguards like Hoppo, Deano, Reidy, Jesse, Maxi, Whippet and Harries, as they catch thieves, perform CPR, make drug busts, break up fights, and even handle a navy bomb that washes ashore one afternoon. To be honest some people may not get what a rip is because of the amount of experience they have had in the ocean, so it's important to understand the people that may not know well what a rip is because not everyone has grown up near a beach.

Having grown up in Newfoundland I was taught growing up to always respect the ocean and to never turn my back to the waves. I'm accustomed to rough seas, but the difference here is you can't really swim for very long because it's just too cold! The water temp doesn't really get much above 15°C in the summer months, so it's fine for a bit of a dip, but not the most comfortable swimming experience! 🥶 Today we're apparently hovering around 0.9°C - nice and toasty LOL

Why are people like this... good job though lads and you did your best Jeff, and I hope he's learnt from it after that!
Sometimes I think perhaps like what they do at the beach nearby that I go to, like just somehow roping off the rips so people stay out of them, AND/OR having them learn how to stay out of them, in different languages, like a sign by the ramps...
