Just a little reminder to all that they do have swim classes available for kids this young and you should definitely get them in those classes because as you can see, it just takes a second and you may not be there to save them.

I almost drowned when I was 4.i was in a little shallow creek, and my dad was helping my sister with something. I hadn’t learned to swim yet, so I sank straight to the bottom. I had never been underwater before, and when I looked up, the sun sparkling off the surface of the water was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I remember being in complete, paralyzing awe of the beauty when I gulped in lungfuls of water and lost consciousness. I woke up coughing up water a little later in a lounge chair—an old lady had fished me out shortly after I passed out. my mother says she must have been my guardian angel. For years afterwards, once I learned to swim and go beneath the water, I would look up and try to see that perfect, shining beauty again, but I have never been able to replicate it since. I wonder if, in my dying moments, something eased my pain and fear by showing me a glimpse of something beautiful to come. The thought of drowning has never scared me since that day.

The skill of swimming should be taught in all schools. Period.

Im glad the father was there ! This accident could have taken a different turn. This is why I stress that babies and children need to take swim lessons. The younger the better. Also the little boy was not an infant. He looked about 18 months to 2 years old. There needs to be security around the pool such as a secured fence or pool cover.

😂 the dad wasn't happy about it at all you can tell from the way he pulled him out and tossed him to the side 😂

This isn't an infant like the title implies. He's a toddler by the time he's walking.

Our rule was "No Bricks", they weren't allowed to touch the bricks and we constantly watched them around the pool. diligence is key, swim lessons start early.

It happens just like that. It’s why I have a pool safety fence. My pool man’s little brother died like that. 5 years old. They lost track of him for less than 5 minutes and he drowned. Heart breaking tragedy. Get safety pool fence people!

He didn’t even fall in the pool he sat his butt down slide in like he seen the grown ups do. Kids are so smart and so dumb at the same time 🤣
