Except my Marin dsx 1 does all that and more with thru axles and fender mounts and internal cable routing for a dropper post, you really should be doing a review of that bike for $1149

Diverge it's nice, but is expensive. There are many cheaper options with higher groupsets.

Chisel aluminum hardtail frame on sale right now, forget all that gravel nonsense! And I've seen Chisel Comps for as low as $1, 300 right now. But unbeatable is the BMC Twostroke AL - the 10 speed for $599? Insane! $750 for the 12 speed. Same frame, just strip the 10 speed and build it up! The frame geometry is nearly identical to the Trek Procaliber 6.
