the longest reign of an emperor of japan is Emperor Hirohito and the longest reign of an empress is Empress Jingu.

Hirohito Actaully wasnt that bad tbh. it was general tojo who did very bad stuff . he made the japaneese empire known for alot of war crimes and stuff. Hirohito wasnt even told about the war crimes that he got japan into. thats probably why hiroto lived till 1989

Hirohito is the longest-reigning emperor unless we count legendary ones. Then that title would go to Emperor Kōan
(孝安天皇) or Yamatotarashihikokunioshihito (日本足彦国押人 ) from 392–291 BC. that's 101 years of reign.

Actually Emperor Hirohito had very Little Power even during ww2, Because the Emperor was influenced by various Political and military Leaders

Actually the emperor lost power during the meiji period as part of effort to modernize and become a constitutional monarchy, as far as hirohito or showa actually, the japanese military were larping as samurai and that is why in 1947 he said he is a normal person and not a god

The Japanese Emperor still commands more respect than any other Head of State. No Citizen of Japan will question his Words still. That's Divine Power, not even Americans can take it.

Think another factor in why Hirohito wasn't tried as a war criminal after WW2 was because he was essentially a puppet of the military for most of the war.

It's true that the military did get his approval for most things, but the fact is they only got his "approval" in order for their actions to be accepted by the Japanese people.

The bottom line is they were going to do whatever they wanted with or without Hirohito's approval, he was pretty much a rubber stamp.

Look at Japanese history between World Wars and you'll see that in the 1920's that the Japanese military were really beginning to have more influence/say over the government, thus by the mid-1930s the military were pretty much the ones dictating policy in Japan

Another factor in why Hirohito wasn't tried aa a war criminal is because he was the one who ultimately said, much to the dismay of the military, that Japan was surrendering to the Allies

The problem with the world is that there are to many leaders and unfortunately to many people that blindly follow them.
Royalty is an outdated tradition.
Be an individual.
Love those you know and those you don't.
Think for yourself.
✌🏼n' always respect 🇬🇧🇮🇪

Here the truth to the why emperors had no power. Take the japan government like England and the USA put together. Emperor could give the order. But the prime minister had power too. Japan wasn’t close with Germany but the prime ministers of ww2 and my great great great great grandfather was a prince. He was there in the war on china. The reason why japan went to war on china was payback from the late 1500 when hideyoshi ruled Japan. That was one reason. The second reason is they wanted to control Asia like china did. Prime minister and emperor both had power but prime minister at times had more power than emperor. The reason why the prime minister was elected only by powerful clans the Fujiwara clan were the only prime ministers from the start. They had equal power. One of the prime minister was a fan of hitler. They wanted to be on there side of ww2 not the emperor. My grandfather wanted to be ready for war. When they lost the war. The rape and torture of china was just the soldiers being upset about losing and not beating china like Russia. You learn something from new. That nobody knew about the government of japan.

Just seeing the guy makes me feel sick. He was truly the hitler of asia. I hate it when people defend him saying, 'oh it was just general tojo'. Hirohito had every inch of power to stop the war crimes. He knew abt them too. But he didnt. Disgusting. It's so sad how so many japanese people and more are not educated properly about this.
