Monarchies were meant to be closely connected with god.This was the big reason many monarchies held such high authority.
In asia, almost every monarchy is connected with religion.
For example-the former kings of Nepal were said to be an avatar of God Vishnu himself.
Thailand's king is also a God king.
Now although jimmu maybe never was related to gods, the mere fact that Japan maintained to keep a continuous succession only male line is pretty amazing👏👏
