As we've seen in this series before, there are multiple version of the 'same' fruit, one being stronger and one being weaker. For example, the ice ice fruit vs the snow snow fruit. This is making me think that Imu has the 'same' fruit as sugar, except SOMEHOW sugars version of the fruit is the weak one.

The sugar connection is a stretch and my headcannon that Imu is a female was shattered this chapter, as its possible that Im is a man now. We should know by now(especially from last chapter) that we cant trust silhouettes and size consistency of one piece characters(look at enma's size compared to when oden has it and when zoro has it) oda is a master troll as many ppl keep taking the bait lol

I dont think it has been confirmed if the Hobi Hobi no mi grants the user eternal youth, the only thing that has been confirmed in a SBS is that the physical appearance of the user will stop aging. So it might turn out that the user could and will die of old age while still remaining in the appearance of a child.

When Mihawk first beat Zoro, he told him to get stronger and fight him NO MATTER HOW MANY YEARS IT WOULD TAKE. which is also very specific. And his first name is Dracule, which is a reference to Dracula, a vampire with ETERNAL YOUTH

I don't know about Imu secretly being a child or whatever but I know ever since sugars appearance and her abilities, I had no doubt in my mind that her devil fruit had a major role in the void century and the Ancient Kingdom and it's civilization being expunged from people's minds during the void century

The idea that Imu is a child who underwent the immortality surgeon is an interesting one, but it's also possible "she " has to change her body to conserve her energy, similar to how Luffy turns into a child when he overuses his gears and burns up all of his energy. And maybe she stays a child to conserve energy to stay immortal, similar to how Allmight use to, hell maybe that's why the world government wants Law's fruit to give her true immortality.

I like the idea of Imu being the moon princess & paralleling Sugar. The Automata on the moon are very similar to Sugars toys as well.

I def agree with this, the Sugar parallels are def 100%. My only thing is I think we saw her ability w Lullucia. (Forgive the spelling). Instead of turning them into toys, I think a part of her power is drawing/painting. (Also a childish power)...but when she used it she destroyed the island. So both of these are still childish power types, both immortal, and both have the ability to wipe memories.

Another thing that hints at Imu being a child is the manga panel where the Don Quixote pirates are bowing down to Doffy (when he was a kid), and the manga panel where the Gorosei are bowing down to Imu.

I think Imu is Lilly the founder of multiple nations and governments. It would connect all the places the strawhats/luffy have been. We’d see what really went down during joyboy and Lilly era before Lilly became Imu. It has to be connected to the ancient weapons somehow with that further connecting the celestial dragons and holy knights. I’m wondering if Imu now making his/her move now is because luffy is awakening more destroying the order of the world that was molded to fit the agenda of the world government/gorosei etc. I have a feeling it will all connect at some point every one’s story has somehow been tied to Imu and Luffy

I'm going to say something that may blow ur mind. When sugar puts the tobasco in usops mouth. And he breaths fire. Her eyes change colours and shape to someone of the extra eye ring. That of which imu Mihawk and luffy ect share. Also she wears An eyepatch in a sense which is also incredibly significant.

This is making me enjoy my rewatch of Dressrosa a lot more. It really is like the grand story of OP in miniature form.

Key fruits to watch out for:

Imagine if 900 years ago, someone cloned themselves as JoyBoy and did some atrocities? Then that same faction used the parasite strings to make high ranking Ancient Kingdom officials use the Superweapons against innocent nations? Well, that would turn the whole world against the Ancient Kingdom! Good Kings(Nefertari) and Bad Kings (Donqxuiote) would have no choice but to join forces and launch a revolution. Then if anyone came out with the truth? They can be erased with the Hobby-hobby fruit. Then once this 20 King regime is in place, the mastermind can permanently take power thanks to the sacrifice of an Op-op fruit user.

These are the broad possibilities. What we don't know is... why do it? Was IM a friend/lover of JoyBoy? Did they simply crave power? Or were there more personal reasons like revenge or jealousy?
