What do you think? Do you still use Packing Cubes?

Who enjoyed the 2 minutes of bloopers at the end? 🤣🤣 These are the best of MANY bloops from this recording hahaha

I have some packing cubes but as a disabled person, the weight of the bag makes a big difference. I can fit more using them but can't handle the weight without drastically increasing pain. I'm working on building up the muscles that support my core in hopes that it will make a difference.

Recently bought the packing cubes to try on my next trip. I don't like my clothes in the suitcase without being in a bag of some sort, so am trying the cubes. Hope they work to keep things organized for me. Hubby puts his clothes in with his golf clubs, so if the weight allows, he can now use a few packing cubes instead of clean trash bag or large ziplock. I want everything super light, no heavy bags.

I don’t travel much but I always use plastic ziplock bags! I take extras too! Extras are great for doggie bags! And I carry a set of plastic silverware and some napkins. You never know!

Love the Forest Green set! Glad to see that compression cubes have changed your mind 😉 Awesome video, Eric and Sarah!

Eagle creek makes a carry on rolling duffle that you may be able to fit your “work bag” in because it’s just one big compartment.

Compression packing cubes are great. Just lay everything flat don’t roll. Kept everything organised. I’ve just come back from India, Nepal and Singapore.

I ordered the same compression bags that I got last year when I went to Ecuador. They are great!

I am always worried about losing a checked bag also so I put an air tag in my suitcase and one in my purse also.

Thanks for another great video.

I am not sure I get the obsession with not checking a bag. I’ve traveled throughout the world for over 50 years and have only lost one bag…in 1978. It was retrieved a day later. I still travel with. 21 inch roller but check it so I can move freely without worry through the airport. Last two flights I was on halfway through boarding they made everyone check their bag.

Can you pay extra to have x2 Carry-On items? [backpack+suitcase ? ] 🤔

I was really bad at wearing hats but then I discovered ponyback haha, they’re fitted hats you can have your hair up with them. It is a few magnets down the back but they’re so comfy

I pack a similar amount of stuff but I do have some suggestions. I'm travelling through SE Asia. First, aside from lounge/sleepwear which is cotton, all my other clothing is quick dry. Easy to hand wash, dries quickly and super light and thin to pack, as well as, being much more comfortable in hot humid weather. I don't use packing cubes because the space between the cubes, and in your case, I can see that not everything fits together like tetris (cubes are askew, and they are not perfectly rectangular and flat when packed) which ends up being wasted space. Instead what I do with clothes is I use the lay flat method. I stack all my clothes - shirts, shorts, underwear socks, etc. So lay one item completely unfolded on top of each other - think of a layered cake. What this does is eliminates any gaps, i.e. wasted space. Once you have everything laid flat, fold to a size that fits into your suitcase. Any small awkward shaped items - in my case, sunglasses, hair clipper, exercise bands (I have the round bands with the handles) I put in the spaces between the suitcase handle. Notice that if you use cubes, that space is wasted. Once I have the small items in, then I put my folded flat clothes on top. When I unpack, it's much easier IMO to place onto hangers and in your wardrobe because you don't need to open any other cubes nor roll out your shirts, etc. I've tried rolling my clothes and I've tried folding items individually and then packing but I've found the lay flat method the best. Put one bundle in, take out one bundle. Bonus that your stuff is less wrinkled too! As far as fitting it all into a carry on, I've found that budget SE Asia airlines will occasionally check your carry on weight at the security gate so I've resorted to having to check on bag and carry-on my tech gear. BTW I also travel now with a bowl which is indispensable if you are ordering take out or buying street food to take back to the hotel. Also YES on the Vessis!

Great video broadly in 3 categories... 1. Packing video with tips, 2. Therapy video of Sarah expressing her iks with Eric 😂 and 3. The cry for going to fancy dinner... Just kidding... The best part of the video is definitely the bloopers section... Was hoping for a "use our code to get 10% off for travel bags" 😂
