3 Activities for a Retained Palmar Grasp Reflex
Показать описание
Do you know some of the signs of a potentially retained Palmar Grasp Reflex?
👉 Poor handwriting at age level
👉 Delayed fine motor skills
👉 Tactile hypersensitivity to hands and face
If your child has a retained Palmar Grasp Reflex, there are some fun and simple activities you can help them do!
👉 Any activity in weight bearing, with flat open palms, is great! Animal walks, ball walk outs, etc.
👉 Drawing on the palms - try letters, shapes, numbers. Have your child close their eyes and guess what you've drawn!
👉 Messy tactile play! This can be challenging if your child is hypersensitive to tactile input, so go slow, do it with them, and find ways to make it fun!
These three activities provide stimulation to the palms, which activates the reflex and will help it begin to integrate!
