I was expecting this to be useless like most fitness shorts. But yeah, these are awesome exercises for BJJ. Also high bar squats for core stability and hip flexibility, and hanging leg raises so you don’t get flattened out on your back

Nordics have really helped my knees and explosiveness, I’m on 3 sets of 3 and will be adding little weight soon.

I also like the fact that rings allow you to move your body through space, an aspect bodybuilding has lost from this wave of “biomechanically, hypertrophiclly superior” exercise selection 😂. I do BJJ and have noticed that gymnasts and those that can move their body through space well have this kinesthetic awareness and body control that allows them to have this significant “functional” edge. Great vid as always bro 🎉

For legs i do Romanian Deadlift, trap bar Deadlift, and Reverse lunges
Upper body Seal Row, Bench press, and Farmer walks too

I really enjoy doing Romanian Deadlifts, found that was a better foundation to build off of before moving to heavy deadlifts

No way! This is almost my str workout just add rows and bench press for upper body and i dont do nordics. Ill add them in once i learn how to do them thx!

Do u guys still lift and do hitt/functional training workouts on top of jujitsu? I just bought a rack, a Titan selectorized lat pull down machine and ftx functional trainer to add to my home gym but it looks like my lifting has to change while trainnign jits

Pennsylvania press or standing barbell overhead press give solid upper body gains.

The Bulgarian split squat, really only strengthens tendons when your knees go over your toes. Then it becomes quad dominant. Sitting back is glute dominant but not so much tendon strength
