Why is it that when two people of differing views try to have an intellectual discussion where one remains silent while the other speaks and tries to understand their point, that people watching must comment on their stupidity or them seemingly not understanding the point or whatever??
People need to learn to take the man out of the argument. The point being made is much more important than the man representing it.

Most people in the comment section are more interested in who "won" that debate (I sometimes question whether they actually watched it, beyond a few shorts) than in what is or isn't true, what was interesting about it, which good points were made etc. This kind of attitude is not conducive to progress.

I appreciate this short a lot because it made me dive deeper into research on logic and how it is only good for argument and persuasion by getting people to agree with a premise but doesn't actually prove anything outside of social discourse (in the material world).
