As a Canadian, I was incredibly furious that this happened Whomever ok'd this should be made to join a Ukrainian medical evacuation unit for a week. The people who gave this money, should be exposed. I cannot believe this.

I was disappointed the ABC moderators didn’t ask Kamala Harris the same exact question about Ukrainian Victory as asked of Trump.

He spews absurdity so often that people just act like it’s normal now. Repetition and fear is the best brainwash.

This film should be removed from any showings. There's a huge Ukranian diaspora in Canada, over a million people descendants of Ukranian people or refugees from the war itself.
Yes, it should be removed, and the Canadian Foreign Minister said it had no place in TIFF.
Rogers should take better care to find out who the people behind films like this are.
I'm sorry to see this happen, but at least now the truth is visible.

Good reporting, but your conclusions are also somewhat naïve, as you're not factoring asymmetric information. It could very well be that Kamala Harris is not openly declaring support for who she wants to win the war because it provides with strategic ambiguity. This allows the US to leverage its position to counter Russian threats of escalation. It's basically similar to the analogy of not showing your hand in a game of poker.

I dont think these propaganda films should be banned. They should come with a message. Knowing how they twist the truth in one film makes it easier to see for yourself in the future. I have learned a lot watching propaganda, just the audience should know the truth before watching it.

4:30 That's actually an interesting point: describing enemies as "absolute evil" without a hint of humanity essentially makes them comical in the long run. Then comes somebody who says: "Well, those must be lies, because such supervillains only exist in cartoons: human beings have shades!" and the whole narration starts to be deconstructed, so that eventually more people start to find the evil guys likeable.
It's difficult to mantain a proper distance, not dehumanizing criminals but understanding why they are evil. "Downfall", for example, did a good job in that sense.

I dont have a dog in this fight, but I would like to point out that the Kyiv Independent humanizes those same soldiers by showing POW interviews with them. The idea of humanizing people should never be a serious concern, we are all more alike then not. (edited to correct spelling).

U.S. Security Council Spokesman John Kirby "But make no mistake about it: This is Putin's war against Russia. And if he doesn't like it, if it's making him a little uncomfortable, then there's an easy solution: He can just get the hell out of Ukraine and call it a day."

As far as I know, the ZSU never had any intention to stay in the Kourks area.

We have known from the beginning what Trump's claim that he could "end the war in a day" actually means.
