I was a GM mechanic and did mostly engine rebuilding or replacements, One day I see all my coworkers standing around a block on the stand,
It was motor that ran on LP, It had 25k miles on it, None of us had ever seen an engine so immaculate .
This motor looked as if it had just been assembled, This made me understand how dirty gasoline is
Compared to bottled gas, Plus propane can sit in your garage for ten years and doesn't go bad.

Exactly what I needed to know. I just bought a non-inverted 4kw to backup my inverted 3.5kw. I just received the dual fuel carb (~$7). As per your advise, I have ordered a new lpg regulator. The carb was very easy to swap. Should know in a day or two how it performs. Damn regulator was twice as much as the carb 🙄.
I have also weighed the LPG tank and will weigh again after testing.
This carb upgrade will not work on the inverter generator as that has a stepper motor controlling the throttle. I am still searching.

Its great this gentleman presents a $30 kit instead of hundreds that are elsewhere, but one can really do it for NOTHING by just connecting the natural gas line to the air filter housing with a valve to regulate the flow to a precise level.

I am a prepper and have 2 generators but they are both gasoline set up. Obviously not the best in a grid down situation. I store propane and sometimes power is off but Nat. gas is available so this is just what I need! I like your site content available as well. Subscribed now. I absolutely love your presentation. I just installed my kit and I’m holding back from cutting the hose for this mod.
There has to be a solution where we can make a mechanical connection.
What a beast to try to start! But, I figured it out. I pressurized the line, purge the air, then shut off the regulator. It takes a few pulls to start it, it’ll run rough, then quickly open the regulator just a hair.
It’ll then run nicely. The problem is is that it just takes a whisper of propane otherwise it floods immediately and pull as many times as you want you will not start.
