FM22 | FIND WONDERKIDS FAST| FOOTBALL MANAGER 2022

🔴WONDERKIDS - whether its making money from them and selling them on or building a dynasty round them, they are one of the most popular features of FM22. I like to scout them to find them but this quick tip from Andrew Leese has helped a ton of players find wonderkids easier.

Just remember to get your scouts locked and loaded to search around the globe first and away you go.

I actually came across this tip in FM 21. After extensive use of the trick, i found couple of ways to make it a little easier to go through the list instead of scrolling and scrolling to find the wonderkid section

1. One thing i would add is, sort the age from 18 to 20. Im yet to see the CPU regard a player who is 17, a wonderkid and ofcourse if a player is 21, he is no longer regarded as wonderkid. Putting it this way means the list you got to scroll is significantly reduced.

2. To even make your search simpler, go to new search and sort by position, for example start with GKs only. Go through them wonderkid GKs one by one and shortlist the one you like. Then select DRs and DLs, go through and select the ones you like and so on and so forth till strikers. This comes in handy when your PC might not be the fastest.

3. What happens to the 17 year olds that might be wonderkids? Well, the best way i found is to go and do the search again once every year, preferably end of season that way the 17 year olds you didnt scout in the previous year, are now in between the 18-20 age range and might be potential wonderkids. Not only that, the 18 and 19 year olds that might not have been regarded as wonderkids by the CPU at that time, who are now 19 and 20 as they are one year older now, could be wonderkids depending on how they have performed in the season.

Never knew this and I can see why people will use it but for me setting up your scouts and going through the u21, u19 squads is all part of the game for me.

I would also add the personality of a young player plays a huge role in the development. The more driven they are, the quicker they develop so you can send your scouts looking for players with high determination ratings. Definitely cuts out the noise when scouting for youngsters who will become wonderkids.

I never knew this one. Probably because I don't really go searching for wonderkids as a priority but it sounds like many didnt know of this either so thought it would be a good little share.

The way I find wonderkids is by checking senior and under 21 national teams and I am looking for the youngest player for e.g 16 or 17 for U21 and 18+ for senior teams. Sometimes this players have amazing attributes and are not described as a wonderkids yet by the media so you can get them before that.

I thought everyone did this already! It's worth pointing out that the bit at 1:21 about having to wait for the media to form opinions about players is nonsense though. The wonderkid media description is just automatically applied to any player 23 or under with a CA over a certain threshold (it used to be 135 if I recall correctly, I've no idea if it's changed or not).
