I turned off my watch too when I run. I just see the distance. If I can see my pace I push it and end up injured. I go at a comfortable pace and slow down up hills and speed up when I feel good. Way more enjoyable than when I'm chasing times

you make me so happy with these body videos. it’s hard to unlearn and even just recognize all of the bad, mean things we tell ourselves. this helps put it into perspective ❤

You're so amazing. It's accounts like yours that helped me to get to a place of seeking wellness, not weight loss

For some reason this video made me cry and I wanted to tell you that and that I'm a new subscriber! I don't particularly struggle with body image issues, but I do sometimes struggle to take care of myself. Thank you.

That strong bit in the beginning is so true. I've noticed that I've gotten strong enough to do a plank without shaking and it's so liberating! A watch could never tell me that.

The “I’m grateful for what my body does for me” is a lot easier for able bodied people. For a lot of disabled people, being told to do this either leads to sadness over what your body can’t do OR guilt over feeling pain or asking for help because you should “be grateful for what you CAN do.”

YESSSS THANK YOU. I don’t wear a fitness watch because it just made me feel awful. Since then, exercise is enjoyable and I don’t feel pressured to do a certain exercise or walk 10, 000 steps. I can do what makes me feel good, and it’s helped so much

I love these, thank you for posting stuff like this. These videos have helped me see that I have been making progress with my nutrition and movement. Even tho the scale doesn’t do what I hope, I have been working on ignoring the numbers and refocusing like you mention. My nutritionist has reassured me that I have been making progress with things but I’m usually too closed minded during our appointments to notice the positives (while magnifying the negatives or afraid of the negatives). Your examples and seeing myself in the examples or somethings that I want to try has been really helpful.
