What about checking to see how much your personal property coverage is. For example, ours is over 600K. If I added up everything we own in our house, it would be maybe 50K. So why would I want to pay more each month for higher coverage than what I need? Also, you could check to see how much your "liability" coverage is. It's good to have, but is it too high? Ours is 300k, and we don't have people over very often, nor do we do anything that could cause damage to the neighbors, so I'm going to try and lower it to 100k. "other structures". Ours say's 87k, and we don't have any other structures besides a fence. I feel fine eliminating that one all together. I'm wondering if lowering these could decrease our monthly cost I'm wondering if the insurance companies would even be willing to lower these things, so the monthly payment would be lower? I have a bad feeling they enjoy receiving our higher payments too much.

awesome video!! quick question for you. On my home policy, the inside belongings is a huge amount in comparison to the home replacement coverage (the structure). This inside belongings coverage is a % of Outer structure. How can I reduce what is covered on inside of structure. Hope that made sense!
