This is a 90 minute yoga class that combines 45 minutes of vinyasa flow yoga and 45 minutes of Yin yoga. Part 1 of the new Vin to Yin Series of classes. The first half of class is a slow, heat building, classic warrior flow to warm, strengthen and open your body. The second half of class, by contrast, includes more passive & introspective Yin postures held for 2-5 minutes.
The Vinyasa flow will chase away any fatigue, the Yin aspect will help you deeply relax and stretch the deeper layers of yourself.

It’s a long class format by special request. These longer classes offer you a chance to really immerse yourself in your practice when you have the opportunity. The Intention for the class is all about finding balance. Balancing Effort with a sense of Ease. Physically, the class focuses on hips and twists. It’s a liberating combination.

You will need some props for the Yin. I’d recommend a block, folded blanket, a bolster or something similar - could be a couch cushion and large book. If you are particularly tight in your hamstrings, I offer a few alternatives at the wall to modify.

I really loved doing this. Very nice to have a lot of time to engage and strengthen, but then also equally a long time to rest and calm down. It would be so good to have more of these long classes! Thank you so much.

Why yes of course well deserved 90 minutes vin to yin practise🧚🏾‍♀️. Without judgement, I allowed myself to shorten both parts of the practise and I will return to do full length another day. I feel so nourished and calm after this - thank you so much for treating us to a full 90 minutes! As a time-strapped working mum, vin-yin classes are my favourite type of yoga, and I just thought that today, being Friday, I could take that bit of time for an extra-long class. I'm so glad I did. Wow what a journey! I saved the practice for when I had a more spacious morning so I could really take my time with it. I loved the balance of strength and slow settling postures, along with rebounds. I really enjoyed this practice. Thank you so much Fionna!

What a wonderful combination of Vinyasa and Yin, Fiona! And 90 minutes allowed enough time to fully move through both..Although I appreciate the benefits of Yin, I gravitate far more often to Vinyasa practices, so really appreciated this full 90-min Vin to Yin. Thank you!
