Jesus forgave me. The sins are not forgotten. But, knowing Jesus forgave me, I can live with my past. And share with others. To advise, don't do what I did. Use my past to help someone's future.

I recently committed a sin that I am not able to forget... or even forgive.

I have to remember where I come from, every day.

Where as most people believe, when becoming a Christian means they're righteous. Maybe so.

I seem to want joy, joy knowing that I'm a sinner and that Jesus came for people like me. I dont want to sin, but sometimes I just can't help myself, nor do I even want to help myself, sometimes.

I'm a bit wishywashy. I simply have to trust that God is willing and able to forgive me, and create in me whats needed, to stop doing what I do, in the way that I do it. My mind might be a bit closer, but my body is still not willing... down on my knees always and forever praising his name. I'm lost and I have to simply trust Jesus finds me... I find that the more that I try to understand, the more it's not God. The only thing I am able to do is praise his name. So be it. So I will try to shut my mouth and listen. Open my mouth only when it comes time to praise his glorous name... It's what we sinners do. At this point in my life, I think that is the only joy I will find in this life.

The Bible isn’t there to show perfect people. It’s there to show very flawed people time after time and how much they need hope and a savior. In the OT they have sacrifices of animals to cleanse themselves but Jesus is Yahwehs lamb. His perfect lamb. The end of sacrifices. The end of temple sacrifices. God says I don’t need your sacrifices . What God desires is a broken and contrite heart. That is the sacrifice he desires. When humans realize they can’t do it on their own . Man and his pride thinks he can do it on his own but we see in scripture he cannot . We require a savior . Hope
