So glad you responded to this Prof Simon. I respect Sabine, but she's always given me the impression of a mechanic. You take your car in for 1 thing and they tell you 5 other things wrong. But because I'm not a mechanic, I don't have the knowledge to push back even though i feel like im having the wool thrown over my eyes

The Angry Astronaut covered this and is really excited about it. I can also almost guarantee that John Michael Godier will have a video out asap about it too. I genuinely hope that this is the real deal. The fact that its so close to us is....odd, considering the size of the galaxy and deep time. The chances are tiny that a similar civilisation would have evolved and be at our level or beyond right next-door, and has lots of implications if there is a civ in parallel with us. So is that a visitor/coloniser to that system and they've noticed us? Is it an invite to prove that we are advanced enough to make it over there ourselves? Is it just appearing to come from that system? Either way, I hope we find out soon, coz I would really love to get off this rock and get out there, where the truth is.
