Clean 1954 Fender Stratocaster in 2-tone Sunburst, 1st year of the Stratocaster, in excellent condition for its age! Only some little wear on the finish and on the fragile bakelite Pickup-covers, no repairs or hidden damages. With a weight of only 3,22Kg this guitar is rather lightweight for a 1954 Strat. The electronic is untouched, the 3 stacküole pots are stamped 304.4.35 (35th week of 1954), Neckdate is penciled 10/54, the body date in the tremolo cavity says 8/54. Actually one of the best 54 Srats we´ve seen in a long time, with a nice light weight and great tone! Comes in its original Tweed Center pocket case with red lining.

This guy is a really underrated player I think. Does he have any of his own music out?

People can say what they want but the 1970 strat he has sounded better. I love the early strats like this one but the first generation CBS strats sounded and play every bit as good. Some talk about quality and that may have been a big issue then but now the bad ones have pretty much been parted out and only the good ones remain. All of the early strats sounded different and had their own personality so any of them from the first two decades May sound better to you.
