I for one am happy that people keep buying expensive relic jobs. This keeps the new looking guitars affordable for the people that actually play.

Imagine paying 6000 dollars for something that looks like it sat in a swampy basement for 50 years

A lot of gatekeeping in the comments that boils down to taste and/or ignorance.

I would love a brand new 70th anniversary Stratocaster in Cimmaron Red. A guitar that looks new.
Fake wear is for pretenders. What a waste.
Do you know who else played brand new Stratocasters?
Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck*, Hank Marvin.
(*New 57 Reissue in the 1980's)
