I was in Kerala in 2013. We were driving around when we came across this temple. We went into the temple after renting some clothes to use as trousers and shirts are not allowed inside the temple. It was very interesting and I am happy that I have been to this temple. This temple holds a lot of treasure in locked rooms that has not been opened. It is stated that its one of the richest temples in India.

The main idol was made using 10000 salagrama's from gandaki river in Nepal joined together with kadusarkarayogam and there is no abhishekam using water or any such things
