People are mistaken when they focus on the treasure of the Temple. The real beauty of the Temple is the Moorti of Lord Vishnu. You cannot sleep after seeing this Moorti, when i saw it for the first time I was mesmerized, I could not sleep, I just kept going back to the Temple. The Temple is way beyond the Gold, Rubies and diamonds, it is a marvel, it is something extraordinary.

This temple is said to be the richest temple in the world. The capital of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, is named in honour of the deity in this temple. It means, 'the holy city of Anantha(Mahavishnu)'.

I’m a native of Thiruvananthapuram, the abode of Lord Sri Padmanabha. Let’s please put to rest all the hungama surrounding the Holy Shrine. Please lay to rest all these speculations. Our focus should be to attain The Lotus feet of The Supreme by focusing on Bhakti/devotion. Whatever people find in the vaults belongs to The Lord and there’s a Royal family who always served and preserved this immeasurable wealth of The Lord. They are the real custodians of this Temple. SriPadmanabha Jaya🙏

I'm just a random guy from Arizona, and I find this temple to be incredibly fascinating. Everytime it's brought up, I have to see why. And love the open minded and curiosity of the guest and host, great interview

Thanks to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India (especially My Lady Justice Indu Malhotra and My Lord Justice UU Lalit), the rights of the temple assets have been given back to the Travancore Royal Family taking it away from the government ❤🙏🏻

I liked the point Praveen said.. Money/Gold/Treasure is a Worthless Distraction where the greedy human stops at.. but eventually the soul who seeks more might step fwd to find even more valuable 'Knowledge.. Knowing something that can uplift human value' - Good point
May be scripts/secrets to connect to a different world or Enlightment 🤔

I'm from Travancore.
What you said is right about the richness of the temple. But I would say it's Trillion not billions. Even I'm a Christian I do visit Sri Padmanabha Swami temple sometimes since childhood. We Trivians are too much attached to the temple irrespective of which religion we're belong to.❤️

That was the brilliance of Marthanda Varma to keep all the treasures hidden to save it from Britishers else we could have seen all the treasures of Pandmanabha in British museum now.

But the B vault is having the history documents of Kerala which Travancore royal family doesn't want to disclose to the world. Nothing mysterious about it.✌️

loved what Praveen said in the end, money is money, just a distraction, but the things beyond it like knowledge etc more valuable

Sri padmanabhaswnay temple was the first temple built when kaliyug started. In fact the first day of kaliyug this temple was built. If you know Antarctica kailash and Egypt are portals to other dimensions and yes Bvault is also a portal and yes it’s a doorway to sarpaloka and when trying to open may lead to catastrophe . Remember when tsunami hit back in 2004 not a single drop of water touched Trivandrum city while nagercoil and neighboring coast were hit badly.

Its a story of just one temple....think about the millions of temples which had lot of treasure mercilessly LOOTED by Barbaric Mughal invaders and later by European invaders, British, Dutch, Portugese

We Indians need to stay United Despite the language, region, custom, caste creed HINDUISM is the same across India ....similar festivals, beliefs, worship etc

I am following PRAVEEN MOHAN quite some time. His R&D is absolutely marvelous on our ancient temples and technology used to construct.

I am from Trivandrum, 2 of my interpretations on this.
1 is the gold and gems found there are worth not only because of the amount of raw substance, also the archeological value. Some of the auditors(gold smiths) whom I know said, there is the currency that was there during the rule of Napolean and still the exact historic value is not precisely identified.
2nd is the B Vault. One theory states that it's a connection to the Arabian Sea which is very nearby. This is a fail-safe mechanism to destroy all within maybe a 1 km radius(like Predator movie). The technique to open the door is not known now, but if opened maybe it may allow water to rush from the sea to flood the area. There were some real incidents in the past where water suddenly came out from the gaps in the stones on the floor of the temple. Also, many hidden tunnels were discovered from the palace to the temple and elsewhere. Who knows...
But anyways, I urge all Hindus to visit the temple as it's a wonderful & divine place. Unfortunately, non-hindus are not allowed but will able to see it from the outside and visit the museums in the surroundings.

The history is, the King of Trivancore is one among 600 Samasthan at the time of India's independence. The King calls themselves as servant of Lord Padmanabha. The Royal family belongs great Tamil mystic poet Sri Kulasekara and also King Swathi thirunaal.

They dedicated the treasury of the kingdom to the Lotus feet of Lord Padmanabha and not treated as personal property. That is why so much wealth that is available now. Secondly it was outside the vision of Islamic sultanate looters and British. That protected this wealth.

On the other hand nearly 450 Samasthans joined Indian Union. Those kings treated their samasthan treasury as their own and now nothing left out.

All of the other samasthan kings either moved outside the country to other nations to avoid taxes as also privy purses were also cancelled or gone under ground.

We have to truly appreciate the selflessness of the Truvancore Kings.

some factual errors Praveen said:
|There is no intertwined nagas on door. This was confirmed by the people who opened door during court ordered inspection. It has been opened long ago. The thing is you have to break the lock now as there is no unlocking key or mechanism it seems.
The worth of the jewellery and precious items are priceless as it has added value of antique and history apart from its market rate.
There are no doors and doors and doors as Praveen puts it. There's one primary entrance and then the second vault where things are kept. sometimes the first vault itself has things in it. There are 3 vaults A, B, C of which two already opened. When they were about to open the third one, one of the team member got a cut in hand and as blood spilling in temple premises are unholy, they stopped proceedings.
It's said that the B vault contains mortal remains of a Maha Rishi and thus its forbidden from opening.

Clickbait title saying its opening to Hell which is very much derogatory in nature and should be changed. Padmanabhaswamy temple is one of the 108 Vishnu temples of great importance and reverence and is not a gate to hell. Patala loka is not hell in translation.

Also there's a legend that if you force open B vault the entire Trivandrum city might get submerged by seawater which may indicate there's a secret opening to sea from this vault which was normal in ancient days to build an escape route from enemy in temple or palace.
Estimated value around ten years back was around one lakh crores for the treasures found. Most of these were offerings by Kings and devotees to lord.
teaser: The old brahmin devotee who lived near temple who filed a case to evaluate these treasures as he felt some of these are going missing died soon after vaults were opened.

Kudos to the Travancore Royal Family and their foresight, for protecting this treasure from barbaric genocidal invaders who looted the rest of India, as well as from corrupt officials in their own administration - This is no mean feat over centuries. But let's all be warned - Today's looters are "wolves in sheep's clothing", like the Tamil Nadu govt which wants to control the state's temples, similarly in Kerala govt as well. Ironic, isn't it - These politicians are athiests and communists and non-Hindu, yet they're so "concerned" about Hindu temples - Corrupt b*st*rds.

Actually, there is apparently a mantra that can be said before opening Vault B. One senior priest at the temple knows this, but apparently he passed away. Now it cannot be opened.

My grand father use to say all these valuable stuff are there on my 4 standard (1996) … he also said opening it would reach the vishnuloka where ksherasagara vishnu lord belongs . It can be a path to black hole to reach other dimension of universe
