DIY Gravity Retaining Wall - How I built this retaining wall myself

I finished building this diy retaining wall a few months ago and wanted to have it checked before posting this video. I had two contractor friends stop by and check it out! A permit is not required in my area unless its higher than 4ft (its right at 4ft) so no permit was acquired. I did not do geo grid as the wall is under height needed for that process and did a dry stack gravity wall for ease and budget. I had a few bids to have this done and demand is so high in my area that the prices were way out of our budget. So I decided to give this a go on my own. Its still looking amazing and we are so happy with the process. I will have a list of supplies here:

This was quite a physical job but worth the money we saved.

80 lbs per rock x number of rocks moved = Holy crap that's a lot of weight! It looks great! Most retaining walls I've seen aren't nearly that long either....well done guys!

You really did a great job! Lots of hard work. Congratulations. One item of note. The blocks that you used from Lowes I am also looking at for a wall that I may build.. They are actually 62 pounds in weight, not the 80 pounds you mentioned. ☺

You did a great job! That is a lot of hard work but very rewarding, I'm sure. I'm in the decision-making process on doing a similar wall that will be about 100 feet long and approx. 3 - 4 feet high. Thanks for the inspiration!

By far the best video for DIY. Everything is explained. I see so many videos that have excavators, tractors, or bobcats. If Im attempting to do something the first time, I'm not getting any of that equipment. It's shocking how many people make videos that just give you bits and pieces of the information that is needed.
