I really want Kwoowk to go to a Costco. Just his reaction alone to the $1.50 hotdog and drink would be cool. Then to see him rate favorites like the chicken bake and others would be epic.

As an American, chili, cheese & onions are the literal most perfect toppings for a hotdog. Every now and then I do like to put some mustard + some onions in a sweet mustard sauce that I grew up making

Angeleno here with a few suggestions:
1. Pinks is mostly regarded as a tourist spot and if you think that’s good wait til you see a place like carney’s. They serve chili dogs out of a modified train car and are famous for the thick tomato slices they put on top of their dogs. But yeah LA is just generally a great chili dog city so we got a lot and I’m sure other people in here have other recommendations.
2. You should try one of our other food claims to fame, the French dip sandwich! The two places known for it are philippe’s and cole’s but imo philippe’s is much better.
3. You have to try zankou. They’re a famous armenian place known for their rotisserie chicken and garlic sauce.
4. Someone in the comments recommended roscoe’s, and I absolutely second that. They’re a classic angeleno institution and their chicken and waffles is delicious.
5. We’re a big donut city and we’re defensive about it. Most places serve mostly the same things but we get very defensive about the place we frequent the most. And they’re all delicious, if you avoid chains.

But yeah LA is generally a great food city and I’m hoping other people can continue a chain of suggestions in the replies! Have fun!

Pink’s actually has a rule where you can cut in line if you have an important meeting or doctors appointment ext. but don’t lie they get pretty serious abt that kind of thing
