Food Lab Basics: POV Half-Scrambled Eggs

preview_player
Показать описание
Half-scrambled eggs are a cross between fried eggs and scrambled eggs. I like to think of them as egg white pasta coated in a creamy egg yolk sauce. I love all kinds of eggs, but these are some of my favorites.

Also: when I say we don’t really eat many carbs, I mean we don’t eat many, not that we avoid them. I’m not interested in carb free bread thanks!

PLEASE READ!

The coronavirus has hit many folks hard, including first responders and hospital workers, individuals and families who were already food insecure, and service industry employees who are, for the large part, currently out of a job.

My goal is to help fix both these problems in the best way I know how to contribute: organizing people, and cooking food.

I like how when you mention the type of sausages your dog comes into frame: “I think someone mentioned sausages?” 😛

Kenji: "we share 1 piece of toast for the 3 of us"
Me: "I eat 3 pieces of toast alone"

Thanks for being real with your kitchen, not having it looked staged. Thanks for cooking with easily accessible, every day items that is in most homes, not with something that requires a specialty shop, or costs more than what an average american family can afford. Thanks for showing us how you make it, using ordinary tools and cookware that is in everyone's home, not using utensils that is to be stored in a separate/extra storage area or is a unitasker. Thanks for showing us that the simplest foods are also the most comforting, a need for these trying times in our lives. Thanks for being calm, that also calms our nerves from the outside chaos. Also, thanks for showing us that you also leave your shells in the carton, because I thought I was the only one that did that. Keep it up, Kenji! Thanks for everything

Dude thanks for all this egg content!! Eggs are so simple, don't require a ton of other ingredients, and they're exactly what I need in quarantine—a tasty, easy, and versatile snack/meal! Have a great day and stay healthy :)

Switched over from the Gordon Ramsay Eggs to this style ever since I saw your original video. Put these on sourdough with a little parmesan on top is the perfect way to start the morning.

Kenji, don't worry about these comments. Just make the videos you want to make. Whether that be edited or non-edited. (I personally like non-edited so I can see how you flow in the kitchen.) Keep up the good work!

Dragging the top stove flame to the bottom one, that was smooth.

This is my mother's favorite kind of scramble. Whenever I'm visiting I make this, and your crispy roast potatoes for breakfast!
