These are great tips. Just know that just because the person you’re on a date with may have a great relationship with their mother or father it doesn’t always translate in marriage relationship. My ex husband and his mother are extremely close but he treated me like I was beneath him. And no matter what, if his parents came to visit I NEEDED to play babysitter and make sure they are taken care of but when my family came he could care less. My relationship with my father isn’t great but I treated my husband with respect even though it wasn’t reciprocated.

The family and faith talking points really are very important! Makes so much sense. I definitely will not compromise on the equally yoked faith and I genuinely want to know what his family is like and for him to be deeply interested in what kind family I was raised in. If im on a date and he does not want to be open or transparent that's a red flag to me and let's me know he is not ready for a deep relationship but maybe just wants a surface friendship. I'm 30 but not dating right now. BUt when I do start to date -God willing, it wont just be for casual fun. These talking point should set the the stage.
