I think I would’ve mixed a really nutrient top, saw with the sand by half-and-half level with that then hit it with a bunch of grass seed on top when you was allowed to do your first water soon as you do your first water I will level it one more time hit it with a bunch of grass seed and then started watering it once every tree days

You need a sand soil mixture for trying to bring it up like that. The sand is only for thin layers.

Dont forget coring. That will help settle everything too. Let your lawn grow and then do the coring. You can use the lawnmower to break up the cores.

My sod got absolutely wrecked in only 1 year. I guess I didn't water it enough. Trying to find a solution for all the dead and bare areas. Maybe power seeding ?

You should have used a shop broom to force the sand into the canopy of the grass.

I used fallen leaves, coco-coir, and lawnmower clippings.. did that last fall, throw some grass seed on top this spring, and now it looks like it was always that way. couldn't believe it worked honestly. lol
