What We Know Warframe Lore - The Kingdom of Duviri

preview_player
Показать описание
A recap of Warframe's Void, the Zariman, and the events leading up to the Duviri Paradox quest. While now a small collection of islands encroached upon by the infinite Void ocean, Duviri was once a sprawling kingdom of innumerable continents stretching into the infinite. But formed in desperation of a young lord's dreams, they were swallowed whole by the malevolent entity the kingdom had rooted upon.

Long time coming, and a lot longer than I had thought it would be. Hopefully it's enjoyable!

Duviri has been a breath of fresh life in the story. What I wouldn't give for the tenno-drifter to sit down with the Entratis and lay out what they know from the plains and the deals etched with void entities to them. I would love to see how they would react.

I like to think that the greater purpose mentioned by Albericht was allowing the Drifter to accept their trauma and leave the Kingdom of Duviri so that they may cross into our world and allow the Drifter to save the Origin System from the Narmer.

Man it's hearbreaking to hear people call the story/quest of Duviri bad when it's good. DE put a lot of effort into this narrative clearly but most people would have to really dig deep to understand it's meaning. Your services are always apreciated Loremaster \[T]7

Your description of what a Palimpsest is made me realise that, in a way, the entire game is one due to its update cycle. Each new release is another etching onto the old, sometimes adding, sometimes replacing, always leaving traces of what came before.

Man, I wish so bad that warframe can deliver its story as well as you deliver it to us.

And when the people needs him the most, he returns.
Welcome back man.

I also think the Man in the Wall also had more to do with the creation of Duviri then we realize. We know Albrecht Entrati was the first to encounter Wally, and once he returned there's no telling if it was truly him that returned, or his twin. Who's to say he didn't tell his daughter to write the Tales of Duviri in the first place? Or perhaps inspired her to do so? Wally is constantly playing 5D chess with the events of Warframe, so it would make sense he would want the book of Duviri written to set his whole plan in motion for the Tenno/Drifter.

"A slag of thought and feeling." That is a great descriptor.
I was unaware of what Duviri was supposed to be in the first place because I wanted to be surprised when I started playing. I found myself more confused than anything, but this video really helps put it into focus and clears up a lot of the "what is all this?" feelings. Thank you for making this!

Oh man I've waiting for this! I can't grind this history out myself through gameplay and you're the only Lore master I'll accept!

I'm still unclear as to how Dominus and Drifter come together. I'm under the impression that while Drifter is the version of us that didn't accept or wasn't offered a deal, that they are not Thrax. Not directly. In the little cinematic where all the parts of the doll come together, the arm that's reaching out of the void growth is similar to that of Dominus.

How I interpret it is that as the Drifter willed Duviri into existence through their need of safe haven and attempt at controlling their emotion through the tale of Duviri, they didn't forge it "from fresh" as it came to be, it did so with Dominus as king and with a history already in place. Essentially the Drifter made a play that "started" in the middle around themselves. This is where the wobbly time thing comes in too with Albrecht and Teshin.

StallordD is alive!
The moment from your Duviri livestream where you just read Orokin Script on the spot still lives with me.

Wish we could explore more of the Zariman, found the ship creepy as hell, but so ever interesting.
Make it a place only for the Operator, in whichever version you prefer, and allow people to explore it, without a game mode.
But some resistance, whichever it might be, void angels/creatures, or random ghosts/memories made real, or the unfortunate Grineer or Corpus

"I don't always Warframe, but when I do, I choose StallordD."
EDIT: I mean, your videos are all well written, but this was STUNNINGLY BEATUFUL to listen to. It's poetic even as it sits to explain some pretty wild concepts to us. Well done, friend.

My theory is that duviri is a purgatory to the voids afterlife. Everyone that arrives there, with the exception of the drifter, died. Tenshin dead. Kullervo dead. Vor dead. Albrecht dead? (A zariman tablet implies his body is entomb on lua, but his soul may not be). There are more that i theorized to also be dead as well. Dax enemies, Dax the tenno killed in the past that wants revenge. Thrax enemies, grineer the tenno killed in the past that wants revenge. Corrupted enemies, general enemies the tenno killed in the past that wants revenge (probably why they all attack you but not each other). Ballas could possibly be reborned as the warden for kullervo. Calventi mercant sisterhood are the sisters of parvos.

Excellent video! Great job illustrating the core theme of the quest (overcoming trauma). Many people didn't get that full picture.

Srlsy I would pay 60$ for a full story mode Warframe game, no farming, no clans, no platinum, no seasonal events that new players will never be able to experience
Just the full story they want to told us in a single player campaign

The 'Tales of Duviri' were never meant to last. They could only buy time for anyone lost within The Void. Time enough, hopefully, to rally themselves and make their own way back.
