Happens to me too
I actually developed a pretty bad anxiety disorder and wasn't able to eat literally anything, even unprocessed foods and stuff, for months
I'm getting better now but I still feel super anxious when I'm eating out

Struggled with this for a whole year after I had a huge allergic reaction that sent me to the hospital. What helped me was CBT. The therapist helps break down your thought patterns, which would cause you to panic, and identifies triggers to be aware of in the future. Now, when these thoughts come up, I just tell them to shut up (ofcourse you will know if it is real allergic reaction).

I can totally relate to this because couple months ago I had an allergic reaction because of peanuts and tree nuts and ever since that I have been really anxious and I’m still trying to get through it but I’m just blessed to even be alive today and I try not to take the breath in my lungs for granted

Fr! I hate when this happens cause you panic and then you realize you’re just on edge and that you need to chill tf out.

This happens whenever I get food from farmers market I always think I’m having an allergic reaction when I’m not

( I am really allergic to Milk and peanuts, like-Anaphylactic)

When I was 9 I had 2 allergic reactions back to back, I was so scared of it happening again that I stoped eating and developed a eating disorder for 2 years.
I am happy to say now that I’m about to be 14 and I am happy and very healthy but have allergies and anxiety that I deal with every day, it’s still hard for me to try new foods and I rarely ever eat at restaurants.. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who feels like this when trying new foods, so it’s great to see that other ppl struggle with this as well, it helps me to not feel so alone.

Every time I have a serious allergic reaction, I’ll eat something new and literally feel my throat closing. I usually have to get up and walk around to try to breathe through my anxiety

Thank you for expressing the reality of having multiple severe allergies! I’m always afraid to try foods lol just busy checking to see if I’m dying or if it’s anxiety nbd

Shiv, I just want to thank you so much for these videos. My whole life I was thinking "why me?" "Why can't I eat normally?" but now I realized that I'm not alone. I don't have as many allergies as you, but I've gone to the hospital several times because of my allergies. Tysm!

This is so relatable! I have a milk, egg, and all nuts allergies and i have anxiety so sometimes when i eat something new it’s in my head that my tongue itches. Btw the itchy tongue is a symptom for me

As someone with severe migraine, I totally relate to this. Obviously its not life threatening or anything, but that feeling when you think something is happening but you cant be sure until its already too late and the anxiety afterwards is THE WORST.

I’ve been having a problem with eating that makes me feel like I can’t breathe.

Starting to think it’s anxiety because I had bad reaction when eating what triggered it that lasted for weeks.

I start panicking and worrying anytime I eat that I will get the reaction and it ends up happening and I can’t eat for the rest of the night 🥲

no bc i think i have that problem wayyy too often, i had a bad reaction to something once and it led me to not eat, touch, or smell avocados for almost a decade. finally learned i’m not actually allergic but i still have itching/hives and freak out when i eat them
