So you didn’t peel the garlic so that it wouldn’t burn, but then you added the butter with the heat still on a very high setting, letting the butter burn. Not only that you have like a 2 inch thick steak and let it rest for only like 2 minutes showing by the steam and the juices being released from it. Let that steak rest! And lower your heat before adding butter

Temp was too high I recommend putting into a heated oven for a couple minutes if the sear is too hot, the red was to dark
