Can you Hear the Difference Between a Human Playing Piano and the Computer?

Do you listen well? In this video I did 3 tests, where I compared a performance played by me, and another played by the computer. If you listen well, say who you prefer to play. The computer or the human?

I the human, it seems to give more personality to the song.

c'mon guys, the computer doesn't use pedals because it doesn't have feet

It was not a fair comparison at all. If the piece played by the computer had been arranged/digitalized much better, the difference would have been nearly unnoticeable.

The real question is... how did that invisible man learn how to play piano so well

There is a difference.
The Computers plays it more emotional.

One thing that I can ear is that the computer doesn't use the pedal and this is quite important... but the most important thing is that the computer doesn't give an hell about the dynamics... you play with the dynamics and the piece is obviously more emotional.
As my teacher of orchestra said: "The difference between a good musician and a bad musician is that the good musician play the phrasing, the bad musician play just the notes".

Obviously chopin requires your soul to play it
The computer doesn't have a soul

Chopin's Nocturne...

A cloudless day overlooking a town that not many people visit... camera draws you to a cafe, only reached by a cobblestone walkway right next to the river that flows through town.

Reflection of your face is shown for a moment on the glass before the camera pans to the woman across from you.

A quiet woman not quite from here, wearing a dress white lace, clothes that don't match yours... her summer hat with a large brim matches her outfit, elegant, white. Contrasted by her dark hair, which flows across her pale skin.

She plays a game of hide and seek using the brim of her hat to show and hide her lips as she sips her cup of tea.

Of course she doesn't know she's playing this game with you, you cannot help but get lost like a child and smile to yourself, oh how it makes you smile like you used to do. You don't know her name, and nor she yours, no words are spoken. The only thing filling the room is Chopin's Nocturne played by an older woman who just sat at the piano without ordering. Nobody seemed to notice her playing, but you could clearly hear the music.

You took a moment to look at the man behind the counter cleaning cups... and the quiet people encapsulated in their own worlds sharing this song that the old woman was playing.

You pick up the cup of coffee, blow gently on it, take a sip and close your eyes. It's been 7 years since she was taken from you, reflecting on your memories you nod to yourself and open your eyes. The woman across from you had been watching your moment, you stared into her eyes, and she into yours.

And with a small smile she says, "Hello".

It does make a difference how the digital version is written, but only a human can show true feeling

The computer sounds more rough but is more exact, and the pianist makes it sound soft and pleasant but the tempo ain't exact at all

Distinguishing between computer and human is the first step to having musical sense.

A diferença é que o computador só sabe fazer nota em staccato, parece eu tocando
