true!!!! I remember picking up my kids at the end of school last year thinking of all the fun we were going to have this summer. I think we did like 2 super fun things.
Yesterday was their first day back and it could not come sooner!! For them or for me!

My mom never ever made us feel like she wanted school to start or us to go to bed. She never mentioned wanting or needing a "break" from us. That being said.... Sometimes you just need a dang break.

This is hilarious and so accurate. I keep threatening my teenagers with screen time limits and then caving because I don't want to have to entertain them, drive them around, and/or throw money at them. And by the way you look great in your swimsuit!

I am a stay-at-home/ homeschooling mom from Minnesota so I have no experience with summer break mentality, I just go crazy year round! but I will tell you... laundry doubles or triples in the summer! sweat, dirt, sunscreen, bug spray, swim suits and gobs of towels. it is the little-known evil summer secret.

And then you hand your kids to us and we get to yell at them. Bahahaha. I’m a preschool teacher so I getcha ;)

We don't have a pool, we go over to my parents....summer can be fun with the kids but does get exhausting....
That's probably why I begged my husband to take 2 beach Trips so it would get us away from the house and I would not have to worry about cleaning or anything I would normally have to do at home.
Crafts are always fun but the clean up falls on the parent every time. 🤦

Not applicable to me. I homeschool my three kids. Sometimes I do wonder what it would be like to have a several hour break 5 days a week.

0:02 my mom would NEVER say that! 😂 she says “I’m so happy summer is here because the weather is nice and I can swim! But I’m so bummed my kids are gonna put you guys in a summer camp for every single week of the break!”
