Apparent color and real color of objects is different stories.
light can change the color of objects just for a particular /or groups of observers(location of observation and observed object), the change is not basic. Light does not change the color of objects.Light can change only the observation, it changes some aspect of color for the observer.
The observer can see a green object as white /or black or yellow on reflections of lights on the object(s)/locations observer/observed. However, that does not mean the color of the object changes by light. If an object is A green object, then, that object is always green unless it is painted another color.
Light shining on objects, can make a temporary/apparent change in color for the observer based on its location of observation.
Color is not light dependent. That is observable fact.
