This is the newly released for 2023 Zippo Yellow Flame Butane Pipe insert. Seems to work really well with a good-sized flame. As you can see, it does fit into all the cases I could think of trying in this video. This insert is scheduled to be released to be sold on the Zippo USA website on 06-06-2023.

Awesome video.
I've looked multiple times with a couple different search terms and haven't found it. After watching your video though I know without a doubt it's not for me. Looks amazing for those who will want it!

My issue with the yellow flame inserts is how small the area for your thumb by the flint wheel is. I find it hard to keep lit while lighting my pipes. I wish the hinge started the gas so i could let my thumb off after lighting like other inserts on the market.

I just got mine so I haven't put it through it's paces yet but I'm a pipe smoker and have been hoping for this for quite awhile and believe me I'll give it a workout 😁

Really wish they would do stuff like this for their slim lighters

The "does not work" is likely because the fit isn't as good as it could be due to little factory variances. It will "fit" but maybe won't fit as perfectly as it could, so it's easier for Zippo to just claim it's not supposed to work than deal with the headache of trying to get every possible combo to fit well. It's the same sort of thing why the blue flame butane torches are not supposed to work with armor cases, the very tall and square chimneys tend to creation a gap because of the more domed style of armor lids. You can easily make it fit, but again, just easier for Zippo to say it doesn't.

Zippo's website says that this thing's flame is "up to 1400 degrees", which is FAR too hot to use on a pipe. What's up with that? (I've emailed Zippo twice with this question, but it seems they're not big into answering their mail.)

The box says "built to last." It will last forever as mine just will not light. I'm very disapointed with Zippo products. I used a Zippo over 50 years ago when i smoked cigarettes and stopped using it because after i filled it with fluid, it burned my leg...but it always lit, and i didn't have to fill it every 3 days. I bought the pipe lighter and it needed fluid every 3 days or it wouldn't light. I bought the Yellow flame butane version and that won't light at all! I have Bic lighters coming in this week and i know they will light. I also have an a butane insert from another company coming in. I'm really sorry i felt that i needed a special lighter for my pipe. Matches work well!

The flame on my new butane pipe insert isn't even half the size of the flame on yours. It's unusable for relighting a pipe that is smoked down to half the bowl depth. And with no adjustment, I have to carry two lighters around. I'll have to send mine back for a replacement

Why isn’t it adjustable? That was a fail on their part. That flame looks a to big for a pipe. I ordered one because it’s cool and I will use it but gotta be mindful when lighting my pipes cause it looks like it could char the pipe rims pretty good.

The china Zippo inserts suck. Gone through two already.
