ZIPPO butane lighter insert - yellow flame - The latest in ZIPPO evolution Awesome.
The last time I looked at Zippo lighters I totally missed this. This really shows how ZIPPO got to where they are. One of the most well known brands in the world. They have managed to change with technology without giving up their traditions that got ZIPPO Lighters their reputation. Brilliant business.
Thanks for watching as always its greatly appreciated

There's another option I found on Amazon, an insert for the base of the original fluid model which slows down the evaporation to a minimum. They come in a 5 pack for about $5.00 and work VERY well!

I want to know how to adjust the flame. After a few months, the flame is too weak.

I never thought Zippo would switch. Lol. Great review George!!

You didn't change the flame size, it was exactly the same size, because you can't adjust the flame size ~ the screw on the bottom is to replace the flint!

Is it possible to use it for cigars or is it not preferable because of the taste of the gas?

The reason the newer Zippos require refueling more often than the older models did is that they changed the design of the insert by adding a bulge on the sides of the insert for retention and that allows the fluid evaporate from the case more quickly. The older inserts had flat sides and sealed much better from closer tolerences. Dont know why they changed but most people today no longer smoke and just buy them to look cool so it doesn't mater as much.

What’s best for bowls? Lol single or dual. I prefer single myself

it just sucks that zippo refuses to update their hinges.

I wish Zippo would make the soft flame type with the wheel but where the cam controls the gas. The current design is no different to any other disposable butane lighter.

How the grand F.... You adjust the flame height on the yellow flame insert??? There is only a filling nozzle and flint cover.... Or I'm missing something ???

They didn't switch per se. They just give zippo customers, of which some are in the equator where evaporation is kinda worse, an option that keeps the fuel better while giving them the feel of classic zippo with the flint wheel style ignition.

If you are forking up the money for a quality liter then the point is to keep it as long as possible. Pzo will eventually go out and can not be replaced. Flint is replaceable along with the butane. The flint version is the classic look and feel of zippo.

That's better George! :D Mine looks JUST like the original Zippo, and it burns JUST like a Zippo, but the insert wasn't made by Zippo (I think your potted history is a bit off mate! :D) ;) Had mine 10+ years, and it's going strong. The original is OK, if you're using it all the time, but it needs modding to stop the fuel evaporating. The butane model suits my own needs better 👍

Only problem with the yellow flame butane insert is its useless out side unless there is no breeze!

This guy makes me laugh. From what he says you'd think that Zippo invented the butane lighter which is ignited via a wheel and flint - wrong, they've been around since he was a nipper.
When he adjusted the flame height using the non-existant flame height adjusting screw I was ROTFLMAO - it was hilareous!!
Seriously though there are two MAJOR problems with Zippo's yellow flame insert, first is that there is NO wind proofing - just try lighting one in a breeze and second, the flame height IS NOT manually adjustable, you have to wait until the gas pressure in the tank reduces, as it does the flame gets smaller.
He also looks the spitting image of a British comedian called Alf Garnet (google) which made me smile.

Tell us George how did you turn down that flame? lol The biggest fire here is your pants. If you're going to do a review on a product, maybe you should know some of the basics,  like the flame isn't adjustable. Worse yet, you pretend that you actually did adjust it instead of explaining to people that it's not adjustable, letting them first find out after they spend their money. No worries lad, I won't be back
