Video makes perfect sense. I've bought the A7RII for its image and wasn't disappointed at all for portraits. I don't need the extra focus points nor sdcard slot. The extra resolution gave me the edge.

I’ve had the a7rii for a couple years now and it’s amazing. I think I’ll skip on a7iii and wait for the a7riii price to drop for my next upgrade. Even if it’s a awhile.

You may need to upgrade to a faster computer and more HD space, if you opt for the a7ll. Both great options.

The voice. I took 955 pics today battery was at 65 %. I also had some video that I did not count. Oh with the a7iii

I was looking at prices back in Sept 2020 and found that the A7R ii can be had for $1398, while the A7 iii is till $2000. That says a lot about the A7 iii, but I still went for the A7R ii for $1298 at Greentoe because I don't think it's worth an upgrade to go to the A7iii nor the A7R iii. Not even the other brands have something to rival the A7R ii, it's just simply the best bang for your buck Full Frame BSI 42MP 5-axis IBIS mirrorless camera.

Great video! But you forgot to mention that in order to take advantage of all the megapixels on the Rii you absolutely need a high end expensive lens since not all lenses are sharp enough for 42mp. So that you have to add it to your budget if you are deciding on Resolution.

I was just perusing eBay and was AMAZED that you can get used a7rII cameras, sometimes even with lenses, for 1200-1500 bucks! That's a TON of camera for the money! I was dead-set on the a7iii, but man...the a7rII is amazing and it's a STEAL at these used prices!! Going to be a tough decision!!

I don't understand why the anti-Sony crowd's go-to bash is "yeah go ahead and buy one of their cameras then a new one will come out 6 months later!" Look at the breadth of time between the releases of the A7II and A7III and of the A7RII and A7RIII.
