“Both have good quality but A7III images are smaller and I’m ok with it”
I just saved you 6 minutes of your life

After my discovery of your YouTube channel where I learned a lot of different things, (including full frame Sony camera) i decided to buy my A7III. I’m playing with it for twelve days and I’m so happy with it! Thanks you so much Manny!

Love the raw uncut style, being flawless and editing out your mistakes on camera has its place but it gets boring. Nice change of pace man!

I had the A7Riii, when I got the a7iii, I dumped the a7Riii. That was a mistake. I take a lot of group shots. Sometimes large groups. I now just re
purchased the a7Riii. No problems with group shots anymore. The clarity from the 42mp is just so much better. I guess it all depends on what you are shooting. For closeups, the a7iii is fine, but not when you need the image to retain the smallest details. And don’t forget the cropping factor or the dynamic range the a7Riii gives you.

Yeah if you're gonna post to social mainly, A7III makes the most sense. Especially if you're gonna shoot mostly wide open anyway. If you're shooting wide open portraits, the eyes are sharp, and the rest of the image is "wasting" the resolution of the A7R anyway, since it's blurring away anyway. Might as well drop down. Save money, save file size, keep bokeh whoring. Makes sense to me

A7iii is better than the riii at lowlight video too.

Just switched over to an A7iii from a 77D and I love it! Also I wanted to thank you for always uploading links to your gear in the description. Really appreciate that!

Manny, the a7r3 evf has greater resolution. If you are an evf shooter, and especially if you use manual lenses, there is no competition. I have recently upgraded to a7r3 from a7m2 and the resolution of the evf makes huge difference in shooting experience. It's so much easier to focus with it.

People nowadays are so focused on post processing that they forget about the art of photography and nailing the perfect exposure at the point of trigger. At which point, they shouldn't call themselves photographers but post processing artist

If Sony would only allow us to shoot smaller RAW files like Canon this wouldn’t be an issue. Seems like a not so hard thing to do. We need to be asking for this at all the Sony events.

I've been bothered by my getting the A7III instead of the RIII but you just listed some key reasons why I will stick to my A7III after all, especially that workflow where I don't want to spend hours editing and indeed I want those 60 options vs 6 shots due to SDCARD spacing. Thank you for that :)

Just upgraded to an A7III from a Nikon D7200....all I have to say is WOW!! I shoot portraiture as well and this AF system is phenomenal.

Good video but I'm keeping my A7Riii due to cropping and using the APS-C mode which brings it down to 18 MP as oppose to 8MP in A7iii

Yeah I just got an a7rii because I like to be able to crop. I love being able to recompose my shots without losing a lot of information and still come out with a nice crisp photo in the end. It's not uncommon for me to crop out 50-70% of a photo. I know some people might hear that and say I need to work on composition in the field but I live by the idea that I can always crop in but I can never crop out. So I tend to capture more than necessary just in case I wasn't to recomp later.

Dang man... You were my inspiration to upgrade to the A7RIII... I am still getting it! I LOVE the extreme amounts of detail! My A7rII has me HOOKED!

In my opinion, A7III is undeniably stellar, no matter where you are in the mirrorless/DSLR market. I am feelin' the low cuts in the video man!

The a7R3 is really a hard sell with the A7iii available new for $1200 less. I don't shoot photos but just like you switched from the R3 and how have 2 A7iii's. For video you get better AF, more detailed 4K and 1080P 120FPS, it seems like slightly better battery life and almost everything else matches up. 👍

I own both. My a7iii is my main body tho. I do sports photography. But when I do portrait shots I love using my A7rIII. My portrait stuff has to be as crisp as possible since it’s used for promotions.

That feeling of possibly missing a shot when your model is doing their thang and not being able to recreate that emotion again IS SO REAL!!! You're not alone there Manny.

Although it is nice to recrop your image to change the composition, that is not always something that goes through my mind during a shoot.
