It’s 3am and the stress of my job has me unable to sleep. I cannot go on any longer. I’ve made a definitive decision to resign and this is the first time in my career. I will leave with class and dignity. The uncertainty of life stresses me out less than this job. Thank you.

Some companies may also not want you staying around for 2 weeks if they think you are going over to a competitor. Be prepared that the day you give them your resignation letter may also be your last day and that you may be locked out from accessing company computer networks or even your company issued phone.

Hi, I've been under investigation for a few days and also suspended from work for suspected call avoidance. I was told I'd be invited to a disciplinary by now, but that hasn't happened. This is a poorly paid remote call center job for an outsourcing company, but it's stressing me out badly. I now want to send in my notice and hope they let me leave the day after, just for my peace of mind because this period has been very stressful.

I am in the process of accepting a new position that pays well and will help me save money for getting married and starting a family of my own. However, I am looking to leave my current job in a professional manner, so I don’t jeopardize my references for the future. I have learned that professionalism in the workplace is very essential.

My hardest part was feeling like I was quitting or letting them down.

Thank you so much for the gems! I have a draft that his been sitting in my Outlook for over the month and was having a hard time articulating my thoughts (and emotions). This will help me to move forward graciously.

Thank you Professor Austin! I have followed this template before and I am following it again because it was helpful in the past. The hardest part of resigning is feeling like I didn't complete something and feeling like I might be letting go of an opportunity.💖

There are some circumstances where employee(s) were treated like less than a dog. So the happy ending is not always possible Unless a person has been bullied or mobbed at work they will NEVER understand. Some people have no choice but to leave with short notice or no notice at all. All facts. Employers burn bridges when they mistreat their employees.

I plan on resigning from a company that has had me on reduced hours (none) since Aug. Due to business being slow. However, how should I address needing reimbursement for money taken from my pay for medical insurance that they never paid and was canceled. It was canceled in June, but I was only informed by the insurance company via mail on Aug. 29th. I did reach out to HR and was advised I would be reimbursed since I had not used it and it couldn't be renewed (I believe the company wasn't allowed to). It is now mid November, and still nothing. Since I have another job, I feel resignation is appropriate. I just don't want to sound demanding or make a threat of contacting the Labor Board. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

So basically tip toe around the real reasons and show respect? Absolutely never give a reason why you are quitting.
