They deserve all respect and admiration. Thanks for mentioning Yugoslav women. Serbian women and girls gave so much for freedom. They took care of home, participated in fights, many crucial, delivered supplies, did espionage, performed sabotages and much more. Admiration. Same as US women and girls. Great video

Rationing.

My dad's mother had a car that she had to lock up in the garage because of gas Rationing. In 1944, she opened the garage to start getting her car ready for a new job... and found someone had broken in, then stolen the tires for sale on the black market.

She couldn't get replacements.

the picture of the Russian women with medals you showed was an ALL female air force unit, which fought the Germans, so ruthlessly that German nicknamed them the night witches. you also forgot to mention that women used to fight unofficially too, in the UK. they used to ferry aircraft to squadrons and get attacked on route, and claim their own kills.

One of my great aunts helped build war planes and fly them to the air bases. I am woman here me roar.

My grandmother had been married 2 years, & had a 1 year old baby when her husband joined the military. When stationed at the base she started working at cafe. She, & another lady traded babysitting each other's kids, & other children. So when she was not waitressing, she was babysitting lots of kids. They drew the lines up the back of their legs. Because it was considered vulgar, & inappropriate to not wear nylons.
