Former manager here; everything changed when Steve Ells steeped down as CEO, they use to put so much focus on their employees and great customer service and now every time I go in there I feel like I’m a burden on them for coming in especially if it close to closing and I’m not talking 10 min to close, like 2 hours till close and they are already cleaning the grill and out of either chicken or steak and out of guac, that would never fly back in the restaurants I worked at

I seen a interview with the old CEO of Chipotle and he said he told stores and workers to not worry about portion control...he was more worried about product waste saying loosing money is not about if customers get more food its about not wasting food at the end of the night and would tell chains to to give big portions while being stricter on making sure food wasnt going to waste at the end of the night ...they changed CEO's and the new one seems to be more worried about portion control

Most places are following the same model. Low quality, bad service, less food, all for more money. Corporate greed baby!!!! And the workers cant even pay their bills at a living wage, and with more stress. No wonder so many restaurants suck in 2024.🤦🏽‍♀️

I worked at chipotle way back in 2012. We were told you can give as much as they requested. The only thing charged extra was extra meat. Completely different from then . Now a days I I’ll make my own taco bowls at home anytime I crave it. Never thought learning how to make the chips and rice back then would be useful. A decade later and I’m glad I learned 😂 .For the $15-20 you pay there you can buy the ingredients to just make it yourself and feed your whole family. These food companies have definitely lost their minds. 😂

I worked at chipotle 9 years ago when they did the first “price adjustment”. Meat went up from $5.40 to $6.50 and we had a new store manager. Bro saw the portion sizes we used to give customers and told us the amount of meat a customer should receive shouldn’t be anymore than the plastic containers you get your sides in anything more is considered double meat. Our regulars were pissed.

I always get the honey salad dressings w my burrito... One lady said... "we're out. we'll have to make more." Stared me down like I was making them do more work. These teenagers they hire are some of the laziest folks I done seen in the food industry.
