You spend $750+ on 12 bites (courses) of food. Then another $15 for dinner at the burger place on the way home. 😂

I actually got to deliver linens to this place for two
Years and got to know the owners and kitchen staff very well. Everything they do is top tier and taken past what I though was possible. I got to eat there a few times for free during my deliveries because mike (one of the chefs) would ask me for extra towels or washcloths for dinner service and I would give them to him and not charge him. He would ask me if I was hungry and I would say sure. Made me the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had.

I like how a tire company became the gold standard of fancy restaurant reviews

There’s another 3-Michelin-star restaurant in SF called Benu that I had the privilege of going to. It was “only” around $300-$400 per person, not including wine, for around 21 courses (may vary time to time, but that’s what I had). It was the best culinary experience of my life. I’ve also heard if you’re affluent enough to go there multiple times, they’ll keep track of you and make an effort to make each experience a little different from the last times you went.

I would rather spend 1, 000$ at a 3 star Michelin restaurant and get to wine and dine for 3-4 hours then spend any type of money as Salt bea’s restaurant 😂

My favourite is Dorsia. Can be hard to get a reservation unless you know someone.

Been to a 2** in Barcelona, the place is called L’Angle. You get a 14 course tasting menu for like 180€. Sparkling bottle of water is like 5€. Overall not too expensive(compared to the video at least). The food was awesome, service was awesome as well. We are there for a little more than 3 hours and were quite full afterwards. People making fun of the supposedly little tasting menu dishes simply never had a Michelin star tasting menu

I’ve been to a 3 star near Napa, and without a doubt it was the best meal of my life. People saying that there isn’t enough food are just stupid, they plan the courses out so that you don’t fill up too fast but still leave feeling satisfied. Service is top notch, and if there is anything wrong with any of the dishes, they will go out of their way to make it up to you, such as bringing out bottles of wine in the $100+ range for free. The restaurant in the video is overpriced as well. The French Laundry, which is the one I went to, is “only” $400 per person and is one of the most famous restaurants in the world. If you have the opportunity, I would definitely recommend going. It is 100% worth the money as a once in a lifetime experience.

It's crazy because in France (where the Michelin stars comes from) it will be very rare to see big prices like this. I went to one of the most famous restaurants in France that have 2 Michelin stars (3 not a long time ago) and for 4 people with the max menu it was around 1k. The restaurant name is "Paul Bocuse" for the curious

For my 21st birthday I went to Vegas with a couple friends and they treated me to dinner at Robuchon, a 3 star Michelin restaurant at the MGM. I believe the bill came out to be about $2400 for the 4 of us. And honestly the food wasn’t really my cup of tea. But my god the service is what you’re really paying for. It was 10+ courses of all these little intricate dishes that was too rich for my taste, but each one of us pretty much had our own butler for the 2-3 hours we were there. And there was this bread cart waltzing around with THE best bread I’ve ever had. If you guys ever do decide on trying, don’t get your hope up too much for the food, it’s more for the experience. Unlike that one Michelin star Chinese restaurant serving $8 plates.

Honestly sounds like a great experience if you can afford it. A lot of time, in a great environment, with a lot of flavours for you and your company to hang out with
