May I suggest a video recapping the history of TES's various factions?

One interesting part of the lore is that when Vivec lost his powers, the meteor he had held in "stasis" above the city came crashing down with its full force again and destroyed the city, it also caused the giant volcano in the middle of the island to erupt ending in a mass exodus of dark elves from morrowind.

That's why we see so many dark elf immigrants in Skyrim.

Morrowind pc: turns out i’m the reincarnation of a legendary Dunmer
Skyrim pc: Turns out i’m the last dragonborn who is the only one that can avert the end times
Oblivion pc: Turns out touching a plate in the inn gets you thrown into a jail

Id like to add not all of the lore is meant to be taken literally, the lore is told to us through the perspective of the people of this medieval world, so alot of lore is a mix of lies, rumors and conjecture. A great example is the omnipotence of the daedric princes in their own realms despite tons of examples contradicting this

Quick correction :
Dragonborns are immortal, because their souls are, even in a mortal body
And if they continue to absorb dragon souls they can live as long as they want (it's like absorbing someone life force), until there's no dragons souls left, they die, and the souls return to Akatosh
He create them new bodies, put the souls back, etc....

By definition, ALL Dragonborns and dragons (all septims, St. Alessia, Miraak, etc...) are all "alive" somewhere in some plan of existence, they can be sealed but not destroyed

I will never forget my first time playing Oblivion. It was the first RPG of its kind that I'd ever played, and I finally made it to Weynon Priory, spoke to the monks, one of whom gave me the book The Warp in the West. I read it, expecting a simple story (it also raises a skill, though I can't remember which - block, maybe?) and what I got was what was essentially a summary of a previous game in the series. I couldn't understand _what_ was going on in the book, and it was at that point that I negan to realise just how vast the ES universe was.

You forgot the Dragonborn’s most important task: killing Delphine after Alduin’s defeated.

Curious to see what the next protagonist’s glory is in the next chapter. Really have my fingers crossed that they do this entire series justice

I’ve been playing the Elder Scrolls since Oblivion and I never knew about any of this lore til now.

Thank you for making this video and providing context to a world I’ve been lost in since 2006.
